This is the time we look forward to most each year. It’s our year in review! We love to sit back and reminisce about our year on the podcast and relive the good, the bad and the ugly! So let’s sit back, relax, and pour yourself a cocktail for 2021: A Year in Review.

Year In Review: Our Guests

2021 was a big year for our little podcast! From the many adventures of the MousekeMoms on location to our exciting string of show guests, we hope you’ve had as much fun listening as we’ve had recording! Some of our favorite moments had to be with our unforgettable guests. We were so lucky to be able to speak with former cast members including PhotoPass photographer and current YouTuber, Sir Willow and the furloughed Cast Members from the Facebook Group, Ear for Each Other.

We can’t possibly forget all of the authors we were so fortunate to meet including Ashley Craft (The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook), Trisha Daab (The Not-So-Evil Stepmother series) and Dinah Bucholz (The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook).

Along the way, we’ve made some amazing new Disney friends. YouTuber, Jen Lefforge shared her insight with us on Disney Vacation Club and more! We got to laugh with Instagram influencer, Disney-phile and mom, Deana Romano (aka Magical_Dunn_Mama). And our favorite Disney podcasters, Gene Maney from Disney Underground, Jenny and Trent from Dsney DNA and Ryan Wright from Disney Inside Out,  were amazing! But our all time favorite guest had to have been Brian Volk-Weiss, executive producer on Disney +.

And it would hardly be a year in review without reviewing our amazing experts we’ve been able to showcase. Suze Solari, stylist and MousekeMom personal wardrobe consultant, has helped us look and feel good while we travel! And Christine Kidder stopped by to remind us that we will work better when we take the time we need to unwind with travel.

Year in Review: Travel

Cruising During COVID

A 2021 year in review is not possible to do without looking back at all of the travel that the MousekeMoms were able to do! Lori started out her Orlando Adventure in December 2020, extending her “sabbatical” in Disney through April. We reaped the benefits of having her local to show us ALL the things! Jen joined her for a few days in March for the opening day of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival (and a day with Harry Potter at  Universal Studios as well). In July, we brought you with us to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and showed you the newly refurbished Moana themed rooms in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Spa.  In August, the three of us reunited for the first time in 10 months for a fabulous photo shoot in the Magic Kingdom and we brought you along to the opening night of Boo Bash! September was truly exciting as Juliana and Jennifer took you all aboard the Disney Dream to see firsthand how Disney Cruise Line was handling COVID. And finally, the piece de resistance- Lori and Juliana were in the middle of the action at the Magic Kingdom on October 1st, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the theme park. We can’t wait to fill you in on what’s in store for 2022 travel!

Also in 2021, we tried to incorporate our listeners into our shows. We started by crowdsourcing for YOUR best advice in 5 words or less. We had a lot of great submissions from the sentimental:

“Be the magic for someone”

To the silly:

“Leave your children at home.”

We also asked you to tell us your biggest Disney regrets in 5 words. This was a good one. Some of our faves:

    • Not having a rest day
    • Staying off property for years.
    • Not seeing pandora at night.
    • Going in the summer heat.
    • Doing such a short trip
    • Failure to set spending limit….
    • Not spending enough time at resort.
    • Not using a travel agent

Our favorite crowdsourcing episode was our cast member tribute. There were so many great stories that solidified how much these cast members mean to us all.
