Celebrate Mom this May

Hey there Mousekemom Friends! May is a time we get to appreciate the moms in our lives- so let us tell you what they really want… a trip to Disney! We’re going to take you through how to plan the perfect trip so you can Celebrate Mom this May- and as Mousekemoms, we’re experts on what Disney Moms really want.

But First- Our Mousekecocktail!

Aura In Me

Where to Stay?

Now our Moms do so much for us, that we want them to feel absolutely appreciated and pampered. We recommend staying at a Deluxe Resort. Our favorites include Beach Club, Riviera and the Grand Floridian. The reason we love a deluxe resort is for their amazing amenities and comfort. Let her sleep in, and catch up to the family in the parks later. With close proximity to the parks, they’ll be able to easily catch up after some quiet tome. We also love that these resorts boast balconies where you can enjoy your morning coffee in the quiet of the morning- or evening if you drink coffee all day like me!

Book a Capture Your Moment

Moms notoriously end up behind the camera, capturing photos to enjoy memories for a lifetime. We think this is great for Mom, so you can get some great family shots with mom on the right side of the camera! Capture Your Moment ($79) gives you 20 minutes with your own Disney photographers, in a few locations. Available in all four Walt Disney World Parks, you can pick Mom’s favorite to get some great portraits done of the family. If you have Memory Maker (Which you definitely should!) you can download all your shots for free.

Hit the Spa

Pamper mom with some amazing spa services on Disney property! Get services such as manicures, pedicures, facials, haircut and blowout, and massages (including prenatal for the pregnant mama in your life). Mom will feel absolutely amazing after any of the fabulous services at any of Disney’s Spa locations. You can easily book online, or have your Kingdom and Cruise Travel Planner do it for you!

If you’re staying at a Deluxe Resort, your Spa may be closer thank you think! Some of the resorts with on-site spas include Grand Floridian, Beach Club, The Swan, and Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Book a Special Dessert Party

We love the fireworks, so get mom a special spot to watch them, without having to fight off crowds.

Book the Ferrytale Dessert Cruise to watch the fireworks from Seven Seas Lagoon. This options is $99 per adult, $69 per child, and takes you on one of Disney’s ferries on select Wednesday and Saturday nights. Enjoy desserts such as cupcakes, “build your own mousse”, popcorn, and the grand finale of key lime tarts. Grab a spot by the railing when fireworks begin to get a unique spectator’s spot of the magical fireworks from the lagoon.

If boats aren’t your thing, try Seats and Treats. Located at Tomorrowland Terrace, $114 per adult and $69 per child. Mom will be able to get wine or beer, a special table to view fireworks from and some tasty treats. These include chocolate-dipped strawberries, butterscotch pudding, cheeses and more. Watching the fireworks from Tomorrowland Terrace gives you an amazing vantage point for an unforgettable night of fireworks.

Reservations are recommended for both of these Dessert Parties to ensure you have a spot!

Kid's Nite Out

Get a Babysitter

The one that Disney recommends is Kids Nite Out. All babysitters are background-checked and thoroughly vetted, and are excellent. They do have a four hour minimum, however they will give your kids and unforgettable experience, and Mom can sit back and relax and do her own thing.
