Concierge on Disney Cruise Line

Luxurious. Spacious. Seamless. These might not be the first words that come to mind when you think of cruising, but they ARE words that accurately describe Concierge on Disney Cruise Line!

The Mousekemoms were able to embark on a 3-night Disney Wish cruise recently and stayed in a verandah concierge stateroom – it was amazing! For more of what made it amazing, let’s dive into exactly what it looks like when you book Concierge on Disney Cruise Line…

Exclusive Pre-Cruise Planning

The special treatment starts before you even board the ship. Concierge guests get the earliest access to reservations – they are the first ones to have access to anything from port excursions to dining reservations at Palo or Enchanté to spa treatment to the coveted Castaway Cay Cabanas. Not only do the reservations open sooner to Concierge guests, but you can be in communication with your Concierge team before that, letting them know your preferences and needs for the cruise.

Seamless, Stress-Free Embarkation

So you get access to the reservations earlier than anyone else when you book concierge on Disney Cruise Line, but did you know you get to board the ship first, too?! Once Online Check-In is complete, Concierge guests are automatically assigned Boarding Group 1 meaning you are the earliest to set foot on the Wish…aside from the crew, of course. You’ll arrive at the port and head to the dedicated Concierge Check-in that typically only has a few people in line. After that quick process, you’ll go through security, then get escorted by a Cast Member straight to a private waiting area with drinks to sit and relax until it’s time to board. While waiting, Cast Members will greet you and go over the services provided to you. Before you know it, it’s time to get on the ship!

You’ll be one of the first to be announced onto the ship, then you’re invited to a private Concierge lunch in one of the ship’s sit-down restaurants. Our Mousekemom’s dined at one of their favorites – 1923, the Walt/Roy Disney themed restaurant on Disney Wish. After that is when the true Concierge experience begins!

Onboard Luxurious Amenities

Booking Concierge on Disney Cruise Line means booking some extra magic on a Disney Wish cruise. To start, Concierge rooms are ready before any of the other staterooms at 12:30PM. After you have access to your room, you can check out the many amenities that come complimentary with Concierge Level. In your stateroom, you’ll find extras like luxury bath products, amazing bathrobes and slippers, and even beverages that are provided in your stateroom based on what you tell the Concierge team during pre-planning! Instead of paying the extra fee once you’ve departed the port, you have complimentary basic internet for 24 hours as well. All this luxury just within the confines of your room!

Aside from what’s directly in your room, there are plenty of other amenities you’ll enjoy throughout the ship. Each evening there is a live stage show with Broadway-level talent that shows in the Walt Disney Theatre on the ship. As a Concierge guest, you not only have the opportunity to sit in preferred seating for the show, but you also get FREE popcorn! Just show your key card and you’ll have a free salty snack while watching Aladdin from one of the best seats in the house.

And if all of that wasn’t enough, there’s still the pièce de résistance…

Spacious Accommodations

The grand, spacious Concierge areas are perhaps the biggest reason to book Concierge level on Disney Wish. The staterooms themselves are the largest on the ship. The smallest room in the Concierge category still stands more spacious than the largest Deluxe staterooms, but let’s not forget about the nearly 1800 square foot, 2-story Royal Suite or the almost 2000 square foot Tower Suite!

Concierge Lounge

Finally, what the Mousekemoms, perhaps, enjoyed the most about Concierge on Disney Cruise Line – the Concierge Lounge! Out of the entire Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Wish has the largest Concierge Lounge with 2 levels of exclusive offerings to only the most exclusive of guests.

On the first level, you’ll find a sleek, yet comfy lounge area complete with food, drinks, and concierge staff. There is a desk you can visit as soon as you board that can help you with anything and everything from going over any issues or booking spa appointments. So no waiting in the normal Guest Services line in the Grand Hall – there was never a line on the Mousekemom’s cruise!

As for the rest of the first level, you get free snacks, drinks, coffee, continental breakfast in the lounge all day, as well as free alcoholic beverages from 5PM to 10PM. Throughout the day, they serve snacks like candy, desserts, breakfast, sushi, and other various appetizers. There are plenty of free drinks in the coolers – anything from sodas, waters, sparkling waters, to Fanta. Plus they have an espresso machine available for complimentary espresso, cappuccino, and mochas for those who need their extra caffeine fix. For kids, there was complimentary hot chocolate.

But the second level is where the Mousekemoms spent most of their time in true relaxation mode. Here, you’ll find plenty of room to sit and relax in a comfy chair, couch or daybed while taking in the sights and sounds of the port or sea. You’ll also find two hot tubs, a small pool, and a bar available exclusively for concierge guests here. This is definitely a perk when you consider that the adults-only non-concierge pool area – Quiet Cove – can get very crowded and busy.

(Almost) Painless Debarkation

And finally, at some point, you have to disembark from your Disney Cruise…stinks, right? Being a Concierge guest makes it as painless as possible, though, other than the fact that you’re ending your vacation. For breakfast that morning, you’re served a last delicious meal in the Concierge Lounge. Once you’ve eaten and gathered your things, the Concierge Cast Members will walk you down and off the ship to avoid the lines. You will, however, have to wait in the immigration line.

Ok, but is it worth the price? Mouseketip:

Concierge on Disney Cruise Line can be expensive. There’s no denying that. But whether it’s your first cruise or your 50th, we recommend it. If it is something you want to experience, The Mousekemoms suggest booking at low crowd times and look for the best priced cruise if you are flexible on dates.

Also – since it is so expensive they recommend that you use the amenities to the fullest, which might mean not even getting off the ship! The Mousekemoms didn’t leave the concierge area and when they did, they came right back. Also, by choosing to stay on the ship at the ports, they had the whole pool deck to themselves!
