Star Wars Rise of the Resistance is back at Hollywood Studios and will once again be using a virtual queue via the My Disney Experience App. With limited capacity, it can be really difficult to get a Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group. Reservations open twice a day at 7am and 2pm, and they are often gone within 15 seconds. So here are the steps you need to follow for getting a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance:
1- Be sure to have the My Disney Experience app loaded on your phone and that all members of your party are linked to your account IN ADVANCE.
2- On the day of your visit to Hollywood Studios, all guests must have a valid park ticket and Disney Park Pass reservation. Disney has changed it’s system for getting a boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance. They have implemented a new virtual queue system. **For the 7am selection, guests do NOT need to be in the park. It can be done before leaving your Disney resort hotel, or wherever else nearby you may be at the time. **For the 2pm selection, guests must be inside Hollywood Studios to access the second virtual queue opportunity.
3- Make sure you are NOT on the Disney WiFi and that only one person in your group is trying to get a Boarding Group. The system gets confused if more than one person linked to an account tries to get a Boarding Group.
4- BEFORE 7am, log into the app and click the menu icon bottom right.
5- Click ‘Virtual Queue’
6- Click ‘Join Virtual Queue’
7- Complete steps 1-6 before 10am. You’ll see the screen below. Immediately at 10am, scroll down to refresh.
8- You’ll know you did it right because the date and time will show at the top.
9- Give it a few tries, and follow the instructions on the screen. Once the Boarding Groups are full, you will be notified next to the exclamation point.
