This review will NOT contain spoilers. As a friendly PSA – this movie was a bit graphic and included the F word in addition to a few other curse words.
” We were gone for quite a while. But no matter what happens next, the galaxy still needs its Guardians. ” – Peter Quill
A long time ago our heroes saved the universe… Well, they’re back at it again.
I headed over to Disney Spring’s AMC to catch Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3. In Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 we see the team go against the odds and surprises you won’t see coming.
Sitting at 2 hours and 29 minutes (don’t forget to stay for the 2 end credit scenes), this movie will have you laughing and crying in the same sequence. You learn extensively about a character’s background and how the team has changed since Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 1. The action is very well done and the 2 hours and 29 minutes truly do fly by. You are captivated by the visuals, soundtrack, and intense stories going on.
In my personal opinion, I think adults would appreciate this film more due to the dark emotions surrounding it. While it still has a Guardians feel it targets all emotions and not just the fun/cheerful ones we are used to. My only -slight- spoiler is if you are not okay with animal cruelty this may not be for you.
With that being said, it has become one of my favorite Marvel movies in recent years. If you can get past some of the more sad parts it’s a beautiful transition of characters.
