EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays

International Festival of the Holidays

With so much canceled this year- Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Epcot’s Candlelight Processional- Disney guests and fans got a wonderful surprise today with the announcement that Disney will indeed run Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays this year! This magical event will feature delicious food, fun activities for the whole family and the chance to see some Disney characters in their holiday finest.

This year at Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays, enjoy seasonal cuisine at the Holiday Kitchens, located throughout World Showcase, including three kitchens inside World ShowPlace Events Pavilion. Guests can indulge in festival favorites from years past like the slow-roasted turkey from the American Holiday Table, pork schnitzel at the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen or the beef bourguignon from the Yukon Holiday Kitchen, plus taste new dishes as well.

Wander the World Showcase and keep your eyes peeled for Elsa and Anna in their “Frozen Holiday Promenade” as well as our favorite Mickey and pals in their “Mickey and Friends Holiday World Tour”. And don’t forget to keep a lookout for Santa in his horse-drawn tour around the World Showcase.

Mariachi Cobre, the JAMMitors and (my favorite) the Voices of Liberty will surely bring the holiday spirit to Epcot with the songs and sounds of the holiday season. Th

Also returning this year is the fan favorite Holiday Cookie Stroll complete with a complimentary cookie to those guests who complete the confectionary stroll around the World Showcase. This year, the stroll will include cookies from five different locations in the park.

Disney Cookie Jar

New this year, everyone’s favorite snowman from Frozen invites kids of all ages on the new “Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition.” This adventure around World Showcase challenges participants to round up Olaf’s holiday traditions that he has misplaced. Guests can purchase the expedition map and then look for hidden Olafs throughout the World Showcase pavilions. Once they find them all, they’ll receive a gift (while supplies last).
