Top 7 Things to Do at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Welcome back Mousekefriends! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is back later this month, so let’s discuss what our top 7 things to do are. On select nights from August 12 to October 31, enjoy the cult-classic Halloween party!

This is a ticketed event, starting at 7pm, but party guests are allowed to enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm. You don’t need a separate park ticket or park reservation for this event. Grab a map and schedule on the way in, and enjoy the Party!

7. Snag the Exclusive Merch

Disney rolls out some cool, exclusive merch, just for party-goers, so if you’re a collector, be sure you check it out! Not everyone has access to this merch, but it rolls out every night at 7. We expect a lot of Hocus-Pocus merch this year. Classic staples include popcorn buckets, including a mummy Mickey bucket, exclusive pins, clothing and a Donald Duck sticker. We love getting shopping out of the way first thing, so you’re not rushing around last minute, and missing some cool items.

6. Ensure You Eat Some Spooky Goodies

Since you’re paying for a special event, enjoy the special goodies! At Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, they have a Not-So-Poison Apple Pie Milkshake, which looks amazing! The Sour apple marshmallow straw elevates the experience- no paper straw! Another is at the Friar’s Nook, they have Un Poco Loco Tots, which has chorizo, sausage, green onion and cheese sauce. See the entire list of goodies available here.

5. Wear a Costume

Wearing a costume just helps elevate your experience at the Party. Generally speaking, guests over 13 are NOT allowed to dress up. However, anyone is able to dress up to join in the Disney fun! If full-costume isn’t for you, try Disney-bounding your favorite characters. Keep in mind- Orlando weather is HOT in August, September and even October. Plan accordingly, Mousekefriends!

4. Go Trick-or-Treating

It’s a ton of fun to trick-or-treat through Magic Kingdom. This is where that map you grabbed earlier comes in handy. Make your way through the park to get mounds of candy. No need to bring a bucket, they’ll provide one for you. For people with allergies, they will provide you with a teal bag, so the Cast-Members can be aware and give them tokens. These tokens can later be traded for allergen-free treats. The lines can be daunting, but they move so quickly, so don’t fear!

3. Take Photos

Magic shots are always a crowd-pleaser, but the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has some exclusive shots. From the Grim Grinning Ghosts to the Headless Horsemen, they include some great hauntings. Be sure you get the pictures early, because the lines do get long, fast!

2. Meet the Characters

See Jack, Sally, the Seven Dwarves, and other pals we usually don’t see. These lines get incredibly long as well, since these pals are exclusive to the party. Character interactions are back, so be sure you’re carving out time to hug your favorites.

1. Catch the Entertainment!

Don’t miss the Not-So-Spooky Spell-tacular show, at 10:15. Jack Skellington is your MC, with fireworks and spooky projections. The Boo-to-you Halloween parade is amazing, and great for people of all ages. With the release of Hocus Pocus 2, the stage show will be amazing this year. Get as close to the stage as possible for the incredible show.
