Top Ten Ideas for a Girls Trip to Walt Disney World

After extensive research, we have complied the Top Ten ideas for a Girls Trip at Walt Disney World. Being the Mousekemoms, there is no subject that we know better than Girls Trips to Walt Disney World.

Sometimes girls just need to get away. Whether they are leaving their husbands, kids, furry friends, or all of them at home, girls just need some time with their girlfriends. When you think girls trips, most think Vegas, Nashville, New Orleans, but one of the most popular places is Walt Disney World.  So we have done some hard research and put together a great top ten list of ideas for your next girls trip to Walt Disney World.

But first, of course our Mousekecocktail…

Mousekecocktail
Sangria Jaleo

One of our favorite places to go for a girls trip.. Disney Springs. Jaleo is a Spanish tapas restaurant located in Disney Springs and there they have one of our favorite sharing cocktails…

Sangria de Lujo Tinto

Prepared tableside, a bold, fruity red wine sangría with spiced wine, gin, brandy, citrus in a pitcher for $60.

Although this pitcher is a little pricey, there is a lot there. This would easily serve 4 – 6 of your closest friends, king it a great deal for a group.

10. Book a RunDisney Marathon and Train Together.

I know exercise, running.. Ugh hear us out.

Yes, right now all the RunDisney Marathons are virtual, but let’s first discuss if they were in person. There are some fun marathon’s that include dressing up and matching outfits. Princess Marathon is a great idea for a girls trip, dress up and get your medal. They also have Star Wars and our favorite, Food and Wine. Now, yes the upcoming ones are virtual, but we have seen plenty of people still head to disney and they complete their run by running by the resorts. Great picture opportunity after you finish too!  Fun activity and exercise, and than you can eat and drink!

9. Book a Tour
Africa Trek

One of our favorite hidden gems are tours! Imagining a time when covid is fully behind us, there are so many fun tours! Keys to the Kingdoms, Behind the seeds, Savor the Savanna, Wild Africa Trek, the food and wine mini course/tours and of course what is running now, splurging on a VIP Tour. All these tours are great ideas for the most experienced Disney girl in your group, for behind the scenes look at Disney.

8. Splurge and Book a Club Level Room
Regatta Club

As we just announced this week, Club Level rooms are back! What better way to celebrate your Girls trip than to stay Club Level at a Deluxe Resort at Disney. Enjoy the great amenities such as personalized experience for guests, including exclusive food & beverage options throughout the day and special Disney touches for all ages.

7. Book a Late Lunch

Let’s be real, if there is a girls trip that means that the kiddos have been left at home! Instead of dining with all the families at lunch hour, grab a Mickey Pretzels mid morning and keep on going. Book the late lunch reservation and have a relaxing time, a great place Le Cellier. Beat the crowds at lunch and have a glass of wine or two.

6. Book a Spa Appointment
Senses spa Disney

Anytime I hear anyone talking about girls trips, I automatically think of a spa day. While Disney has some of the best spas at their resorts! Personally favorites are Ship Shape at the Beach Club and Senses at Grand Floridian. An early Mouseketip, you do not need to be a resort guest at these resorts to book a reservation.

5. Pool Day or Pool Morning

Girls trips mean you can take it easy! So turn off that alarm and sleep in. One of our favorite activities is a pool day.  If you have a pool day as one of your must haves make sure that you book at a great Deluxe resort such as Beach and Yacht Club, Polynesian, or Contemporary and take advantage of their great pools! Of course these pools also have amazing pool bars, in case you want a drink in your hand as well!

4. Don’t Book a Dinner Reservation, Eat and Drinks at Different Disney Springs Restaurants

The Mousekemoms did this on our last Girls Trip, we skipped the dinner reservation and instead hopped around to different restaurants at Disney Springs. We ordered a few appetizers at each restaurants (and a drink of course) and slowly made our way around 3-4 restaurants by just sitting at their bars or requesting a last minute table. Some of our favorites: Jaleo (hello the sangaria we mentioned), Chef Art Homecomin’, Jock Lindsays Hanger Bar, The Edison and Polite Pig!

3. Book Sangaria University at Coronado Springs

This hidden gem, is an amazing activity for the girls. Coronado Springs hosts a Sangaria University where you can earn your Sangaria Diaploma!

Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago: Sangria University has returned! Guests will sample four different house-made sangrias paired with an appetizer. A sangria sommelier will take guests through the nuances of each recipe, delving into the history of this fruity cocktail. The best part? You get to make your very own sangria! You will even receive a Sangria University diploma for a job well done!

2. Monorail Crawl
Enchanted Rose

Yes, crawls typically belong at Colleges BUT, this is a classy Disney Girls crawl. Hop on board the monorail and hit some of the best bars at Disney Resorts. Start off at the Grand Floridian for their newest bar Enchanted Rose enjoy a great beverage and cheese plate while looking for Cogsworth and Luminere. Next stop is the Contemporary where you can try and get into California Grills lounge and see a great view of the Magic Kingdom while sipping a martini or head down to the Wave for a great beverage and snack.  Last stop is the Polynesian and you can hit our all time favorite Trader Sam’s for a late night drink or if earlier on the night hit the Tambu Lounge and get a drink in a coconut.

1. Drink and Eat around the World at Epcot
Jennifer, Lori, Juliana

For our listener, this should be no surprise, these Mousekemoms love Epcot!  This is by far the best idea for a Girls Trip. Spend your morning on soarin and test track or just sleep in and head around the world for the afternoon and night. Whether you start in Canada (recommended for festivals) or head left and start in Mexico, take your time and enjoy all the sights, food and of course drinks. Some creative fun ideas, create a checklist of countries on shirts or a piece of paper to make sure you stay on track. As we have said, America is a great place to evaluate where you are sitting and how to proceed. Remember leave room for France!  Check out this article for our must do’s in Epcot.
