Welcome back, Mousekefriends! There’s a lot to do at Walt Disney World, but today we’ll be looking at some of the amazing Enchanting Extras available to book during your trip! An Enchanting Extra is an optional addition you can book to enjoy during your trip to make it extra magical!
Mini Golf and Foot Golf
We’ve talked about this Enchanting Extra a lot lately- and for good reason! It’s an excellent addition to your trip. Disney has two great mini golf courses. These include Fantasia Gardens and the Winter Summer Course by Blizzard Beach. Both golf courses have two 18-hole options for a great time. These mini-golf offerings are actually included with the Magical Extras package, ask your Travel Advisor if your trip qualifies! (Which makes it FREE) If your trip doesn’t include this magical extra, it’s a cheap option at only $14 per adult, and $12 per child.
On Walt Disney World Property is Oak Trail, which is a golf course that offers foot golf. Foot Golf is where soccer meets golf. You get to kick a soccer ball down the course and into soccer ball-sized holes. Foot Golf is only offered in the afternoons, but you can reserve your spot ahead of time to ensure you get to enjoy this unique activity!
Cabanas
Cabanas give you a lovely private shaded area with chairs, a tv, a mini fridge, a server, everything you need to totally relax. You can also enjoy private dining for an extra cost in the comfort of your Cabana. This Enchanting Extra is available at the Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian and Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club, as well as Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Reservations can fill up fast, so be sure to get your Travel Agent to book this one for you as soon as they can!
See Cirque Du Soleil’s Drawn to Life
This Enchanting Extra is something you can see at Disney Springs. This show is an acrobatic masterpiece, following the story of an animator’s desk come to life, in true Disney fashion. This show is a must see, and starts at $59 a ticket.
Book a Spa Treatment
Who doesn’t love an afternoon of getting pampered? Going to a Disney Spa is a great way to enjoy your trip even more. There are plenty of services to choose from, from massages and facials to manicures and getting your hair done. Currently, spa services are only available at the Grand Floridian, and the Mandara Spa at the dolphin Resort. You can take a look at all the services offered for this Enchanting Extra here.
DiveQuest
DiveQuest is an Enchanting Extra available for certified scuba-divers. This is an incredibly immersive (literally) experience, where you can dive in to the 5.7 million gallon aquarium at The Seas With Nemo and Friends Pavilion at EPCOT. During this experience, you get an in-depth tour backstage of this massive aquarium. After the tour, you get to scuba dive in the aquarium, along next to tropical fish, sea turtles, sting rays, and sharks.
Dolphins in Depth
Dolphins in Depth is another Enchanting Extra available at EPCOT. During this experience, you can learn about Disney’s dolphin-care program, and get a special look behind the scenes with a marine specialist. You also get to enjoy 30 minutes in waist deep water with these amazing creatures! They are very social, which makes this extra even more enjoyable.
Behind the Seeds Tour
The Behind the Seeds Tour is a walking tour at the Land Pavilion at EPCOT. On the Living with the Land ride, you get a glimpse at some of the amazing things in the future of agriculture. This Enchanting Extra is an extension of that ride, where you get to go behind the scenes in the four greenhouses, and get a look at the fish farming, unusual crops and cool farming techniques like hydroponics.
Up Close With Rhinos
At Animal Kingdom, you can enjoy Up Close with Rhinos as an Enchanting Extra. Your guide will take you to meet these massive creatures- second largest land mammals in the world. This 60 minute excursion walks you through the rhino’s biology, behavior, and insights into the species. This experience adds a special element to your trip- who else can say they’ve touched a rhino, much less a Disney rhino!
ACE Avatar Maker
Make yourself into an Avatar at ACE Avatar Maker in Animal Kingdom. An Alpha Centauri Expedition Scan Technician will scan you so you can make your own custom Avatar, which you get a figure of to take home. Some things are customizable, like hairstyle and striping pattern. Your Technician will also give you lots of fun facts about Avatars, and when you’re done you get an ACE card, registering your Avatar. Plus, you get to take your custom figurine home, and can pick out extra accessories available for them in the shop.
Private Fireworks Cruise
This Cruise is one of our favorite Enchanting Extras. Board a pontoon for up to 10 people and set sail on this specialty cruise which will have you appreciating the fireworks like never before! You can board one of these boats for fireworks at Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, and enjoy desserts, drinks and the show, as your own personal boat captain chauffeurs you around! Wilderness Back Trail Adventure
Enjoy the wilderness on two wheels! This Segway tour is located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground. You get some instruction and are fitted with a safety helmet, before being let loose on a two-hour circuit. The circuit takes you through stops at the Tri-Cirlcle-D Ranch, Bay Lake and other gorgeous photo-ops around the picturesque campgrounds.
Cake Decorating
Head over to Disney Springs, and stop at Amorette’s. Before they open, an instructor will walk you through decorating your very own dome character cake. As your instructor guides you through your decorating, they will also give you tips and stories about cake decorating, as you enjoy a complimentary beverage. At the end of this Enchanting Extra, you get to take your delicious creation with you, to enjoy the sugar-rush of a lifetime.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
For kiddos ages 3 to 13, let them transform into a knight or princess at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Magic Kingdom. This unique experience will have your child be pampered by the Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices, with options of hairstyles, makeup, nail polish and accessories for princesses, and gel and confetti for knights. Take this Enchanting Extra even further by having them pick out their own costume!
Capture Your Moment Session
During a Capture Your Moment session, you’ll get your own Photopass photographer for 20 minutes, or you can book two in a row for 40 minutes. Your photographer will get you special moments captured forever, for any occasion. This Enchanting Extra is available at all four parks, including two different location choices for Magic Kingdom.
