Mouskecocktail

But first, let’s start with our very fitting Mousekecocktail, a glass of champagne served in a Disney souvenir flute on Main Street USA in Disneyland Paris.  Quintessential France and romance! You can find this drink at the Champagne Cart along Main Street.  We highly recommend this celebratory drink while strolling in front of the castle or during the fireworks.  Pop the question, then pop the cork! ChEARS to you and your prince/princess charming!

Now, grab the whole box of tissues because we are sharing the sweetest love stories and most tender, heartfelt proposals at Disney.

Michelle Roscoe

I know they say good things come to those who wait; so, incredible things must come come to those who anticipate a proposal for an entire Disney trip! Michelle knew an engagement was coming because she and her boyfriend, Paul, shopped for rings together.  He even joked about a Disney proposal over text.   When the time came for their family trip to Disney, she figured surely it would be during their first day at the Magic Kingdom.  That first day came and went.  All the days went by and Michelle admits, “I was in a mood because he had sooo many opportunities to make this happen!” But Paul had one final chance!  The last day of their trip, Paul stopped Michelle near Cinderella’s Castle.  He told her he wanted the two of them to take a photo together.  She turned around for a moment to put her things down and by the time she turned back, Paul was down on one knee! Surprise! He popped the question and she said yes. A Disney photographer happened to catch this sweet moment.  Great job, Paul!  And kudos to Michelle for hanging in for the whole trip waiting for that magical moment.

Michelle said yes!

Josh Blye

Romantic settings at Disney World are all around! Josh knew he would pick a quiet, intimate location for his proposal to Owen – the gardens at the Canada Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase.  However, getting to that moment came with some trials and tribulations.  Carrying around an engagement ring is a big responsibility.  Carrying around an engagement ring inside of a theme park seems perilous.  Thoughts turn to nonsense like, “I had it in my pocket, but that last turn on Big Thunder was a doozy.”  So, Josh felt the safe route would be to leave it inside a suitcase.  Unless, of course, that suitcase is with bell services and they can’t locate it.  Cue the sweat and pit in stomach, but be subtle so Owen doesn’t catch on.  Cast members were alerted of the high stakes and rapidly worked to find the suitcase, which was just in a different locked closet. Crisis averted.

Josh had been thoughtfully building up to this proposal that coincided with Owen’s 40th birthday.  Josh decided to give Owen 40 days of gifts before his birthday, with the final gift being the engagement ring ON his birthday.  *Reaches for tissue.*  They had a wonderful day at EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival and as they arrived at the Canada gardens, Josh proposed! Owen said yes!

This garden in the Canada Pavilion is the perfect romantic setting!

If you thought that was the end of the romantic checklist Josh had prepared, you would be wrong.  A dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse came next, followed by champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in the room (a little Pixie Dust from Bay Lake Tower) and then a magical engagement photoshoot with Disney Fine Art Photography throughout the World Showcase took place the next day.  Josh is our hero.  Mousekefriends, we need to up our romance game.

Hannah Fredrick

An intimate Cinderella’s Castle engagement may seem impossible – the crowds, out in the open in THE iconic spot for everyone’s Disney photo op.  For those who love Cinderella and the idea of the castle as a proposal spot, you may be wondering if there is a quieter option.  There is!  You just need to move your proposal INSIDE the castle!  Luckily, Ben had a plan for his Cinderella-loving girlfriend and he pulled all the stops!  Ben and Hannah visited the Magic Kingdom over a very busy Thanksgiving week, yet Ben managed to snag a coveted reservation at Cinderella’s Royal Table with a romantic spot right by the stained glass window.  Hannah didn’t suspect anything, but was a little confused when several cast members came toward them with a silver dessert tray.  On the tray was a bed of roses and on top of that, a glass slipper.  At that moment, Ben got down on one knee and proposed to Hannah. *Sobs and gets more tissues*  Ben, you complete us.

Cinderella’s Royal Table offers romantic desserts you can order as a magical extra for your special occasion.  The latest offering is The Lost Slipper, a chocolate dome that melts away when you pour warm caramel sauce on top to reveal a small chocolate slipper inside filled with mousse.

Order this so your surprise proposal has more surprises!
