Narcoosee’s

Narcoossee’s Full Review

Mousekemoms recently took a trip to Walt Disney World, and of course,  had to try Narcoossee’s at Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.  Narcoossee’s was closed for a year and re-opened the Spring 2023 and than closed again and reopened this fall. With new interior and a revamped menu, the Mousekemoms had to try it!

The Restaurant

Narcoossee’s

Narcoossee’s has been around since 1988 and is located at the Grand Floridian Resort, this restaurant has a gorgeous view of the 7 seas lagoon and views of Magic Kingdom. It is located away from the lobby and on the water.

The first noticeable change is the interior. They completely revamped and made the inside brighter with new paint and new furniture. They also did a full menu makeover! The restaurant is seafood focused but really has something for everything!

The real treat of this restaurant is though the view – the restaurant has an entire side of windows and with the coastal new feel it is stunning. The new bar is beautiful as well!

The Drinks and Food

Since we are Mousekemoms we had to of course start of with drinks. Lori had a glass of wine – they had Pinot Gris so she couldn’t pass on that. Jen had Empress Lime Gimlet which has Empress 1908 Gin, Rockey’s Botanical Liqueur, Cane Sugar, and cold-pressed lime juice. Juliana had the Tawny Manhattan overall a great drink , but of course she  find it a bit sweet. The Tawny Manhattan is made of Elijah Craig Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Croft Reserve Tawny Port, Brown Sugar, Hella Cocktail Co. Orange Bitters

Next we ordered appetizers  – as these appetizers looked absolutely amazing!

We ordered the:

Brisket and Ricotta Tortelloni (middle top) – Parsnip, Brown Butter, Sultana Raisins

This was absolutely delicious and per our server a regular sell at the restaurant

Ocean-inspired Charcuterie Board (bottom right) – Ahi Tuna Pastrami, Charred Octopus, Lobster Sausage

We were so excited about this and were not disappointed. This Disney was so different and very delicious. The octopus was tender and the tuna was prepared so uniquely!

For entrees we ordered an array of entrees – but Lori’s dish really did win.

Jen had Lobster Bisque (top left) Butter-poached Lobster, Vanilla, Coral

Romaine and Hearts of Palm*

Pecorino Toscano, Cured Egg Yolk, Black Garlic Feuilles de Brick, Fried Caper Vinaigrette

The soup was what we were excited for and we were all disappointed, not in the flavor ,but it was served cold. We are holding judgement as we do think that if it was served hot it would have been better! Jen felt like a salad and this really was a disappointment – nothing special, and there was really no taste. Recommend skipping this one.

Juliana had Roasted Vegetable Paella (tip right) –   Market Vegetables, Preserved Artichoke, Cannellini Beans, Charred Lemon

The vegatables were not typical with Paella and the beans were different. Overall though the flavor was great!

Lori had Plancha – Seared Scallops & Parisian Gnocchi (bottom left) – English Peas, Tasso Ham, Truffled Meyer Lemon Cream

This is expensive at $54 an entrée, but 100% worth it, I promise. We will be dreaming about this dish for so long! The scallops were cooked perfectly, and the combination of the lemon with the Truffle was absolutely fantastic!  Highly highly recommend this dish!

We were so full from our meals that we did not get desserts, but they look amazing!

Experience

One of the top experiences at Narcoossee’s is if are dining during the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The restaurant will dim the lights and stream the music for perfect viewing. The view is fantastic, but you might need to walk out to the balcony, as people will stand in front of the windows. It is a great unique way to see the fireworks from a different view.

Overall – these 3 Mousekemoms recommend that you book Narcoossee’s for your next trip. If you are looking for an after dinner drink – we will always recommend Enchanted Rose in the main lobby of of the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. It is an expensive restaurant, but perfect for a special occasion, birthday, or to celebrate the start or end of your magical vacation!
